Crafted in Japan using the bundle dye method (see below), this stunning cotton and silk blouse is a piece to have for a lifetime. Featuring a stunning leaf like print with the dye method, the hues of grey make for a moody, intriguing blouse. A delicate drawstring can be cinched in under the bust, creating a gathered body, although we like to leave this loose due to the delicate nature of the fabric.
Bundle Dye Method
The Bundle dye method, also called eco-printing, is a technique in which plants are wrapped around a piece of cloth (a bundle) and steamed. The colour and shape are transferred and dyed by steaming the cloth. In this project, the designers made a shape in the form of a leaf and expressed the pattern by charcoal dyeing. A sense of the plant world being conveyed as is it.
