D.A.T.E Footwear - About The Brand

D.A.T.E. is more than just an acronym — it's the combination of the names of four daring dreamers who decided to shake things up in 2005.

Meeting in London, they shared a common dissatisfaction with their day jobs and embarked on the adventure of creating their own sneaker brand.

With Emiliano and Damiano leading the charge, they transformed Emiliano's garage into a makeshift workshop, tinkering with old machinery late into the night while juggling their day jobs. Their dedication knew no bounds, spending the entire summer holed up in that garage, hustling day and night to fulfill orders and meet deadlines.

Despite facing numerous hurdles along the way, they rallied together and launched their debut collection, starting with just a handful of designs.

Thanks to a favour from a friend, in January 2006 they were invited to showcase their collection as guests at Pitti Immagine Uomo. Setting up shop in a small space, their handmade creations captured the hearts of onlookers with their artisanal charm, selling a huge 8,000 pairs in just three days.

As you can imagine, this whirlwind success story was the talk of the town and the toast of the season. D.A.T.E. had officially arrived, and the rest, as they say, is history!
