Mulesing-Free Wool

"First of all, what is 'mulesing'? Mulesing is the process of cutting off the skin from the buttocks and other areas of lambs raised for wool. Sheep that have been bread in order to obtain more wool have a larger surface area of skin than makes them prone to wrinkles. Mulling is carried out to prevent insects from infesting the dirt that accumulates in those wrinkles. This is done without aesthetic, and the scars are not treated, making it extremely painful for the sheep.
